After successfully completing similar projects for neighbouring properties, our client in Meols, Wirral approached us to transform their home with a kitchen extension and internal knock-through. Their goal was to create a bright, modern open-plan space that better suited family life.
The original kitchen was small, with limited storage and little room to move. It was also separated from the main living area, making the space feel disconnected. At the rear of the property stood a conservatory that had become unusable due to deteriorating window seals and poor insulation.
We began by demolishing the existing conservatory and replacing it with a fully insulated, modern rear extension. Large glazing and roof windows were installed to flood the new space with natural light and provide uninterrupted views across the surrounding fields.
Internally, the kitchen and dining areas were fully refurbished. A load-bearing wall between the two rooms was removed to allow for a complete redesign. We also took down the rear wall of the house to integrate the extension seamlessly, creating a spacious, open-plan environment.
The result is a bright, functional family space that connects the kitchen, dining, and living areas – perfect for everyday living and entertaining, all year round.
